What is NATRUE certification?

NATRUE is an independent standard for natural and organic cosmetics that sets minimum thresholds for natural ingredients and maximum limits on permitted processing. Most Weleda products carry it. Like any certification it describes ingredient sourcing and formulation rules — not clinical effectiveness.

Skin Food, Skin Food Light or Skin Food Body Butter — which one?

They share the same core idea at different textures. Original Skin Food is the richest and most occlusive, best for very dry patches, hands and elbows. Skin Food Light has the same character in a faster-absorbing texture suited to face and everyday use. Body Butter is formulated for larger body areas. All three are fragranced with essential oils, so check the ingredient list if you are sensitive.

Which Weleda products are fragrance-free?

The White Mallow range for babies and children, and the Sensitive adult range, are formulated without fragrance. Most other Weleda lines use essential oils for scent — which is natural but still a common source of skin reactions. Each product page lists this; check the full INCI list if you have known allergies.

Is Weleda baby care suitable from birth?

The Calendula and White Mallow ranges are intended for babies and children, with White Mallow aimed at very sensitive skin. Every product states its own age guidance — follow that rather than a general rule, and ask your child health centre if your baby has eczema or reactive skin.

Do Weleda arnica products work for bruises and sore muscles?

Arnica has a long traditional use in massage products for tired muscles, and Weleda's arnica oils are sold as massage products on that basis. EU law does not permit medicinal claims for cosmetic arnica preparations, so we describe composition and traditional use rather than promising results. Do not apply to broken skin.

Are Weleda products vegan?

Many are, but not all — several contain beeswax, honey or lanolin. Weleda labels vegan products explicitly. If you follow a vegan diet, check the individual product page rather than assuming range-wide.
